Installing Your Natural Gas Fire Pit Kit

Natural Gas – Square 50” x 50”

  1. Build out each layer of block around stubbed gas line as shown in the pictured pattern.
  2. Continue to build up each layer, but place notched block on the 4th layer up, centered in the desired location for valve key opening.
  3. For the fire pit side, use the pictured images to assemble the gas flex lines, fittings, and valve with Teflon tape wrapped on the threads. On the meter side, we highly recommend hiring a professional gas technician to make the spliced connection.
  4. Seat the gray PVC nipple inside the notched block and place the metal sheet on top of the last layer of block. Check to make sure the flex lines underneath the metal aren’t kinked. Screw the burner on last after feeding the flex line through the center hole of the metal sheet. Seat burner inside metal hole.
  5. Place the block caps on the top layer so there is a 1 ½” gap around all outside edges. Fill inside with lava rock or fire glass.
  6. If desired, glue the caps in place with a heavy-duty exterior block adhesive (sold separately).
